Central Heating Matters!
It can be easy to forget the importance of your boiler and central heating system, particularly in the summer months. But the reality is, your boiler is one of most important things in your home.
Despite that, boilers are often neglected by either not being serviced regularly or being kept well past their sell by date, meaning the risk of boiler breakdown or a complete boiler write-off.
If you are a homeowner or landlord, you should ask yourself the following questions…
How Old is Your Boiler?
The age of a boiler is important. If you can’t remember how old your boiler is, then that’s a sign that it is too old! If you keep your old boiler too long, it won’t work as efficiently as it should and could end up being dangerous.
When Was Your Boiler Last Serviced?
Your boiler should be serviced at least every 12 months by a trained professional who is Gas Safe registered. If not, you and your boiler could be at risk.
If you do keep your boiler serviced you will benefit not only from peace of mind, but also from knowing that the heat exchanger is clear of debris. This means the boiler will be working at peak efficiency, saving you money on bills.
